Thirty years ago, Rome needed a breath of fresh air. Today that breath of fresh air is called Trinity College Pub, and on 26 September we’re celebrating it together.
Trinity is turning 30, and to mark the occasion we’re opening our doors to everyone who has been part of our story: the regulars, the staff who worked here, the people who fell in love here, made friends, or simply had a night to remember.
🍀 Where It All Began: Rome, 1996
In 1996, Roman nightlife was split between pay-to-enter discos and the same old traditional taverns. The city needed something different — and that something arrived thanks to Guinness, which chose Rome to open a flagship venue in Italy.
A group of Irish carpenters came to the city and, between pints of Guinness and cuts of the saw, turned an elegant Liberty-style building into Trinity College Pub, named after the historic Dublin university. Since then, Trinity has become one of Rome’s longest-standing Irish pubs: a meeting point open 7 days a week, through three decades of music, live sports, karaoke and countless events.

For the anniversary, we’ve planned a special revival night, dedicated to everyone who has lived Trinity College Pub over these 30 years.
It’s a chance to relive Trinity from its very beginnings and retrace its story from 1996 to 2026, together, with music and old friends.

If you were around in Trinity’s early years, bring a piece of that past with you: everyone who brings photos from before 2006 will receive a gift.
It’s the perfect excuse to find old friends, share a few stories, and maybe rediscover a photo you didn’t even remember you had.
